Ecoislands Sanremo: service update in Via Pietro Agosti and Via G. Galilei (first section)

As part of the ongoing rollout of smart ecoislands in Sanremo, Amaie Igiene urbana now moves into a new operational phase and provides additional practical guidance for the installations located in Via Pietro Agosti and Via G. Galilei (first section). Following the installation carried out in recent weeks and an initial trial activation phase, the service continues along the planned progressive pathway, with clearer instructions to ensure correct and structured use of the ecoislands.

Amaie ecoislands in Via Pietro Agosti and Via G. Galilei: what changes

The smart ecoislands were installed last month in Via Pietro Agosti and in the first section of Via G. Galilei. During the initial stage, Amaie activated the service in trial mode, allowing residents and businesses to become familiar with the new system. Now that this first period has concluded, the service enters its second phase, which guides users towards a more aware and organised use of the ecoislands, with operational procedures that are clearly defined and progressively consolidated.

Service start and transitional phase

The ecoislands have been operational since 26 January 2026 in the streets concerned. At this stage, access is provided through manual activation, without using a badge, in order to facilitate familiarisation with the system. At the same time, existing street containers remain in place and will be removed gradually, in line with the ongoing evolution of the service.

Badge access from 2 March 2026

From 2 March 2026, use of the Amaie ecoislands in Via Pietro Agosti and Via G. Galilei (first section) will be allowed exclusively via a dedicated badge. The badge enables more efficient management of waste disposal and helps improve the quality of separate waste collection. If you have not received your badge at home, you can contact the Amaie Call Centre or visit the offices at the Palafiori directly.

To stay informed about service updates, opening hours and any changes, users can also follow AMAIE’s official communication channels.(Facebook and Instagram).
