Recycling with
Junker App
The app for separate waste collection that helps you manage your waste properly and sustainably, every day.
Separate waste collection goes digital
No more doubts in front of recycling bins, no more confusion about changes to municipal door-to-door collection schedules.
Amaie Energia e Servizi has decided to give a digital boost to its waste collection system by adopting this application, already in use in more than 3,500 Italian municipalities. For citizens, Junker is completely free. Just download the app on your smartphone and you will always have a comprehensive, reliable guide to waste sorting right at your fingertips.

The benefits of Junker
Identify waste by scanning the barcode
Thanks to an internal database of over 1.8 million products, Junker can identify packaging through its barcode. Simply scan the barcode with your smartphone camera—or take a photo of the product—to instantly find out what materials it is made of and how to dispose of them correctly. Since recycling rules are not the same across Italy, the Junker App, using geolocation, customises the information based on the user’s location. This makes it useful at home to avoid fines, but also when travelling to another municipality for work or holidays.
Colletcion calendars, quizzes and maps
Packaging recognition is just one of the many services offered by Junker, which brings together multiple tools in a single platform. Citizens can access constantly updated collection calendars, with the option to activate notifications that remind them every evening of the next day’s collection. Junker also offers quizzes to learn not only how to sort waste correctly, but also how to reduce it, as well as maps showing all collection points and examples of good circular economy practices in the area. In addition, citizens can receive direct messages from the municipal administration with notices, initiatives, service interruptions or changes in public services.
