Sustainable development
Adopting good practices is important not only for you, but also for the environment!
- Buy only what you really need and always follow the rule of the three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
- Drink tap water or use public water distribution points: tap water is safe, affordable and eco-friendly. By choosing it, you avoid the consumption of many plastic bottles.
- Do not use disposable products: they have a short life cycle and become waste after just one use.
- Reuse materials: recycled paper, cardboard packaging, bottles, glass jars and plastic containers can all have a second life.
- Use reusable bags for your shopping.
- Buy products in bulk or with low-impact packaging: compact, made from recyclable or recycled materials, and consisting of either a single material or multiple materials that can be easily separated
- Choose seasonal, locally sourced fruit and vegetables: you’ll save fuel and cut CO₂ emissions.
- Give a second life to items in good condition that you no longer use: donating or swapping is better than throwing them away.
