Single-material glass collection in Arma di Taggia

Single-material glass collection in Arma di Taggia

Starting from 1 January 2026, the Municipality of Taggia, in the Arma area, has introduced single-material glass collection. Under the new system, residents must dispose of glass only, without mixed materials. This change improves the quality of separate waste collection and supports proper recycling processes.

What changes for residents

With the introduction of single-material glass collection, disposal rules change accordingly. Residents must place glass on its own in the dedicated container. At the same time, cans and tins must no longer be disposed of together with glass. Instead, cans must be disposed of together with plastic, using the yellow bag or yellow container. As a result, materials are managed more efficiently and disposal errors are significantly reduced.

Why separating glass and cans matters

By correctly separating materials, residents help to:

  • improve the quality of recycled glass
  • enhance the recovery of plastic and metal
  • increase the overall efficiency of urban waste management services

Ultimately, even small daily actions contribute to tangible environmental benefits.
